Understanding Client Expectations and Don't Over Promise.

As a team of women business owners, we know the importance of maintaining healthy client relationships. We are all trying to navigate the world as small business owners and personal things come up. Sadly, your clients also have personal things come up. They might be understanding the first time, maybe the second time, but they aren't always understanding when it's a pattern. This blog is a little reminder to not "over promise and under deliver".

Here’s our advice:

1. Set Realistic Goals: Be clear about what you can deliver to avoid misunderstandings.

2. Communicate Boundaries: While personal stories can build connection, don’t overshare; your personal life is yours. Don't make excuses.

3. Listen Actively: Understand client needs without overpromising; it’s essential to manage expectations. Take accountability for your actions.

4. Stay Professional: Remember, clients value your expertise over your backstory.

5. Manage Time Wisely: Respect their time and yours.

By keeping these points in mind, we can create stronger, more respectful partnerships (and a lot less negative reviews).

This advice is something we are forever fine-tuning. It has helped shape us as a team here at Mango Marketing Co. We are able to serve most clients remotely but love that we can do in-person marketing, branding photography, and content creation clients in Philadelphia, New York City and Baltimore.
