7 Day Social Media Series 2.0: A Step-by-Step Guide

Every small business owner struggles to stay consistent on social media, scrolling daily, trying to follow trends and bring them into their business. Trends move fast; the next day, there’s a new trend to chase. Being a small business owner can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re wearing multiple hats. And if your budget for a social media manager is tight, you have to be your own SMM.

So any inspiration to help create content that actually makes sense for your business is welcome. That’s why our first 7-day challenge is our most viewed blog on our website: www.mangomarketingco.com/post/how-to-create-a-7-day-social-media-series-a-step-by-step-guide This challenge is timeless, so you can still use it if you haven’t checked it out before. But if you already completed all the tasks in that challenge, here’s a new 7-day task to keep your content fresh:

01. Make it personal, but not too personal Share a personal story behind your business: why you started, your first sale or first client, a mistake you made in the early days, what inspires you to keep going, or a lesson you learned. People connect with real stories. 02. Customer spotlight Feature one of your customers or clients. Share their experience or a testimonial. It shows your business in action and builds trust.

03. Quick tip Find the common problems your audience usually has and post 3 tips to help them. Example: You’re an esthetician, so share 3 steps for a morning skincare routine. 04. Mini tutorial Do you own a coffee shop? Post a reel showing how to make the perfect mocha at home or a hot chocolate. If you sell clothes or accessories, make videos styling them. Be creative and connect with your audience without trying to sell anything, this keeps them coming back.

05. Behind-the-ScenesShare something fun from your business life, like your team joking around, packing an order, or an unexpected situation you had to deal with. Keep it light and authentic.

06. Ask your audience

Ask a question, run a poll, or invite them to share their opinion. Interaction keeps your account alive and builds community.

07. Call to actionWhen you post something on your feed, guide people to take an action without being too obvious about it, like sharing, liking, or commenting. Just like we did by directing you to our old blog at the beginning of this post. Did it work? If yes, we got +1 click.

Remember to always be consistent on social media and don’t chase trends!
