Creating A Social Media Connection: Using Polls, Questions, Feedback and Socializing.

Social media is a powerful tool for building relationships and connecting with your audience. Small businesses, especially in the beauty space, rely on social media. However, there is so much noise and competition, it can be challenging to cut through the bullshit (yeah, we said it) and create a meaningful connection with your right audience. We broke it down on the best practices to win over your audience + gain some long lasting partnerships.

  1. Use Polls and Questions: Polls and questions are a great way to engage your audience and encourage interaction. These can be done so easily utilizing things like Instagram Stories. People love inserting their opinion and feeling like they helped make a choice. Get them involved! Polls and questions can also provide valuable insights into your audience's preferences, as well, which can help with how you even create content, throw events or focus on your brand.

  2. Ask for Feedback: Feedback, similar to questions + polls, is another important tool for building a connection with your viewers. Let them feel in-control and feel safe to give feedback. Feedback helps provide credibility and showcases customer satisfaction.

  3. Create Exclusive Information: Reuse content but don't put content every where. Why would someone follow you on TikTok, Lemon8, LinkedIN, Pinterest, and Instagram if all the content is the same? Reuse content on multiple platforms by utilizing the same messages, reusing for a later date and offering exclusive content on certain platforms. Don't forget to tell people how + where to find you.

  4. Go Socialize: Fuel the ego and talk back! Social media is a two-way conversation, and it's important to engage with your audience and other people in your industry. Avoid spam and provide value first.

Stay true to your brand, fuel the ego and always create a safe space for feedback.
