Three Ways To Give Your Content A Seasonal Upgrade

Three Ways To Give Your Content A Seasonal Upgrade

As the seasons change, so should your strategy! While your core values and mission remain the same, a good marketing strategy meets people where they’re at and adapts as needed. The best news? You don’t have to start from scratch each season. Our hot take is that you should always repurpose content in new ways to stay true to your messaging and reduce your workload. After all, almost everyone requires multiple exposures to the same information before taking action, signing up, making a purchase, etc. Why not make it as easy as possible on yourself? This is what we suggest for taking winter content and making it relevant for summer:

  1. Adjust your imagery and aesthetic

Swap summer visuals and accessories for winter ones! If there are coffee mugs and winter mittens in your flat lays, pop in an iced coffee and a pair of sandals instead! Another idea is to add a summer accent color to your standard color palette. Pick a seasonal item and create a series about it. Integrate your business tips, tricks, or products and put a branded spin on them!

  1. Rephrase the same questions

What questions did you ask your clients in the winter? What solutions did you offer them to their pain points? Do it again, but make it summer-themed! Instead of 5 cozy sleep hacks for winter, offer them 5 rejuvenating tips for resting well during summer break. Put a new spin on the same great products and services!

  1. Repurpose content into new formats with a seasonal twist

Turn blogs into carousels with summer graphics! Turn a TikTok series you did into a long-form blog or YouTube video! Even your most loyal and involved customers and clients are likely not consuming your content from every single channel. Content that feels re-used to you will be fresh and exciting to the viewers you have on other channels.

Bonus Tip:

Sometimes you don’t even need to make a change. In a pinch, you can simply just repost old content. Sometimes good content doesn’t get picked up by the algorithm the first time, and it blows your views out of the water the second time. Add a new caption and some summer elements, and give it a shot!
