Trends We’re Leaving Behind in 2025
As 2025 comes to an end, we’ve spent some time thinking about our plan for the new year. This year, we’ve seen some trends we didn’t like and didn’t engage with that we’re hoping to see others leave behind as we move into the next year.
Using AI for captions
AI is a useful tool for many reasons, but it takes a lot of work for anything it writes not to sound like AI. We love using it to brainstorm, outline, and strategize, but when it comes to content creation, we’re fans of keeping it original and human. Enough people can tell the difference that it matters.
Copy and paste trends
Step away from the templates and think outside the box a little, bestie. While trends are trends for a reason, the brands we’re loving lately are setting the trends, not following them. Instead of copying and pasting, replicating what other brands are doing, put your own spin on things! We love to get inspiration from industries completely unrelated to our own and then recreate it in a way that makes sense for us. Here’s to more innovation in the new year.
Mean girl marketing
Punching down is out. Mean girl marketing tries to make a resurgence over and over again, but we’ll always fight against it. We believe that there’s always a better way to stand out than by using the faults and weaknesses of others. In 2026 and forever beyond that, we’re lifting each other up, offering accountability and room for growth instead of canceling, and moving forward with confidence instead of jealousy or insecurity. Who’s in?
