3 Unconventional Ways We Bond as Business Partners

Alicia and I running a business together doesn't mean every interaction has to revolve around deadlines. We are friends first and foremost but I'd be lying if I didn't say 80% of our time together isn't about business.
Here are three offbeat habits that we do as business partners and keep our sanity intact (sort of)
1. Show Nights
Once a week, typically Tuesdays, we pick a series and watch an episode or two. We love to binge the reality tv shows together and now we have resorted back to 90s/2000s classics like Sex And The City.
2. Stretch Breaks
When fatigue hits mid-afternoon, we stop and stretch together for five minutes. It sounds simple, but moving our bodies clears mental fog or the wiggles we might need to get out. Honestly, the fact we are in our mid-30s now, we need it more than ever.
3. Trend Runs
If a snack, dessert, or drink is suddenly everywhere on social media, we go find it. Maybe it's a limited edition Diet Coke flavor or a viral dessert everyone's obsessing over. These little outings give us something fun to chase outside of work, and they usually end in good conversation (and good content)
None of these habits show up on a business plan. None of these feed into our ROI directly. But, they are needed to keep going because sometimes your best business habits aren't business at all.
