3 Things to Use AI for Besides Writing Captions
If you’re even moderately online these days, it’s unlikely that you’ve been exposed to the AI conversation. Whether you love it or hate it, the likelihood is that it’s integrated into some of the technology you’re using. Maybe you’ve even begun using some of the generative AI models like ChatGPT or Perplexity.ai to ask questions, learn new things, or help with things like captions and other marketing tasks. Unfortunately, we’re here to break the news that with the increase of AI usage by the masses, people are getting better and better at recognizing how AI speaks. This means that if all your captions are a copy and paste out of AI, you’re doing your business a disservice. That’s not to say that AI can’t be useful in planning content and making your life easier in other equally important ways. If you’re someone who is open to using AI, here are our suggestions for 3 new ways to try using it to make life and business easier.
Brainstorming and idea generation
On days when you’ve been staring at the computer waiting for ideas to come and the creative faucet just won’t turn on, AI is great for helping you get some new ideas flowing. Our favorite way to do this is to ask AI questions about your topic and ask them to give you a numbered variety of answers to choose from. Get specific. Ask for 10-20 ideas that you can narrow down to just a handful if needed. From there, your brain might take inspiration from those handful of ideas to create something original.
Creating systems
If you’re someone who struggles with getting caught up in the small details, AI is great for helping you create systems that keep you moving. Tell AI about your final picture and how you want to get there, then tell it to ask you clarifying questions and map out a system to get from point A to point B. It can get as detailed as you ask it to with things like planning check-ins, milestones, and anything else you’d like to see in the process.
Planning and strategizing
Finally, sometimes a second set of “eyes” on your future planning and strategy can be really helpful if you run it through AI. You can give it your past plans and the results, and ask it to pinpoint things that might need to be improved upon. You can also use it to create outlines for content in advance, provide feedback on previous content, or map out a specific piece of content, such as blog subheadings.
We recognize that AI is a topic that can be unfamiliar and uncomfortable for some. While our suggestions are not a blanket endorsement of all AI use, we believe in using tools to help reduce the strain of organizational and administrative tasks so that we can spend more time immersing in the creative inspiration of life and business. As always, we hope these are helpful for you to move more confidently as a business owner or creative!
