As a product-based business, it’s pretty easy to stay focused on what is viewed as “income-generating” products that can be sold. However, there are a few ways to elevate the experience your clients receive when purchasing those products that we think you should consider. Here are three of our favorite suggestions to give to product-based business clients looking to enhance their customer experience.
Thank you cards
This easy tip is an absolute no-brainer because it’s low-cost and makes a big difference. Having printed cards ready to sign and personalize in shipped products is an incredible way to make an impression and let your customers know that you see their support and appreciate it. For customers shopping in-store, having pre-printed and signed thank you cards that can be dropped in their shopping bag offers a similar experience with very little effort. You can leave it at just a thank you, offer them a small discount on their next shopping trip with you, or make the card redeemable for a small gift with their next purchase. The opportunities to customize this are endless.
Branded packaging
One gorgeous way to put your branding and visual identity to use is through branded packaging. Instead of a plain box, choose one in your brand colors. Add a ribbon or card with your logo on it, and wrap your items in coordinating paper. Everything from the external packaging to the stickers to the tape can be customized for a cohesive brand experience that starts as soon as their package arrives at their door. The same goes for shopping in a store if you have a brick-and-mortar store. Your shopping bags and tags should reflect your branding and serve as a visual reminder and walking advertisement for your store.
Sample sizes
Give people a chance to try something new! Sample sizes of products are so underrated. Especially during times when people are cutting down on perceived “unnecessary spending”, it can be helpful to give people the opportunity to try something new with a low-risk investment. It might even make sense to create sample size sets so that people can try all of your bestsellers with a low entry cost. Once people have the chance to fall in love with a product, the likelihood of them finding room in their budget increases!
These are just a few of our favorite easy tips for taking your customer interactions to the next level and improving their experience while elevating your brand marketing. We hope you find them helpful!
